Troop Canal Trip

Our annual Easter canal trip was this year attended by eight Scouts. They started in Rugby and completed the Warwickshire ring anti clockwise, passing through the very centre of Birmingham. The trip encountered some tricky moments from an overheating engine, low water levels and many lost items of clothing wrapped around the propeller but with some scouting spirit we soldiered on, to what was an incredibly successful trip. It’s been a few years since we’ve been able to fully complete the ring as a whole, so this was a very welcome accomplishment. The scouts displayed outstanding credibility helping other boaters at locks along our journey.
