Adult Leaders Urgently Required

Adult Leaders Urgently Required

Our thriving Beaver Colony is full of highly engaged and enthusiastic young people (ages 6 – 8 years).  With almost 30 members,  Friday night activities are a highlight of the week for many of our Beavers and are great fun to take part in.

Hundreds of young people have benefitted from, and enjoyed their time with the 1st Cheam Beavers however the continuation of this ‘section’ is under some threat as we urgently need adult leaders, in particular a ‘Section Leader’ with a real desire to work with young people to lead, inspire and help our Beavers gain skills for life.

Similarly we need additional leaders for our Cub Pack for children in the age range 8yrs – 10.5yrs to work with our existing laeders by devising and leading the weekly activity programme, enthusing our Cubs and possibly arranging ‘nights away’  and ‘day’ activities and trips using our own campsite or other locations.

We also have a vacancy for a Group Scout Leader to take on the overall responsibility for leading the Group as a whole, setting its’ direction and ensurinmg that 1st Cheam can continue  to provide excellent Scouting opportunities to young people in the Cheam area now and into the future.

We always welcome adult help with activities across the whole Group or general maintenance tasks at HQ and our Box Hill campsite. In particular we have a project running to replace some of external storeage buildings so good general DIY and building experience wil be very welcome.

If you feel that there is something here that you would like to be involved in and make a contribution to the Cheam community please do make contact with us using the form below
