A New Year message from our GSL Hi everybody firstly let me wish you a really happy New Year. 2012 is looking to be a busy Scouting year for the Group. Our Beavers will start their new year with a Pantomime visit The Cub section have a brilliant list of activities ‘lined up’, which includes celebrating the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, camps and quizzes, trips and Halloween parties, plus all the ‘fun and tumble’ of their Monday and Thursday meeting nights. The Scout section, aged 11yrs to 14yrs already have a February walking trip to Snowdonia planned, a week's canal cruising at the beginning of April and a full week summer camp is in the diary at the end of July. The leadership team are planning other weekend camping trips plus a very varied weekly Tuesday evening programme. |

Exciting news we have some spaces
The really good news is that the Group can offer opportunities to new members as we have spaces available for;
Beavers (6 to 8 years) – Friday evenings
Cubs (8 years to 11years) – Mondays and Thursdays
Scouts (11years – 14 year) - Tuesdays
Just get in contact with us via the web address or download an application form to join in all the fun.
Scouting is not just for young people – we also welcome adults from age 18 who would like to join in the great Scouting Adventure and who have a real interest in working with young people, or supporting in the background by raising funds etc. Just contact us to get involved and make a difference. No previous experience required just loads of energy and enthusiasm.
